I am a member of a network of conscious-minded entrepreneurs and each day the creator of the group sends out an email with a juicy thought to think about. Sometimes I don’t “get” the message because it doesn’t seem to apply. Other days, it is so spot-on that it terrifies me. Today is one of those days.
My message today reads:
You might be feeling a slight change in direction as you refine your purpose and align it closer with your Core. I believe we are not in a recession, but are in a transition. A transition that will bring each of closer to our unique calling.
Hold on and allow your path to take a slight right turn.
Now, I find it really ironic that I opened my email and discovered this message only minutes after talking to the director of the new department of education which my newly-decided degree now falls under. Change, indeed!
Thing is, over the last 26 months, my life has been a series of a plethora of life-changing experiences. Starting with the near death experience in June of 2009, things have not looked the same since and everything has become different. AND I’ve watched it all happen.
With some things, I’ve been really stubborn about allowing the change to come through. With other things, I’ve thrown up my hands and have said, “Uncle! I give!” But, now, each and every time I feel that little nudge that indicates another change is lurking around the next bend, I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with opening up my arms and my heart to allow the change.
This part of my life has been an experiment in getting really comfortable with letting go. Really, really comfortable. It has been about simplifying and releasing and learning to breathe in the moments when I fear to move.
Yep. Change. And it has been more than slight. And I think it will continue to be.
