Profoundly Sensitive People…
You have difficulty remembering to breathe. Even though breathing is an automatic experience, you still forget. Perhaps you have had asthma all your life. Perhaps you get “chest colds” frequently. Perhaps you feel like you can never breathe deep enough.
When I ask my clients, “Are you breathing?” they often look startled by the question and actually have to check in. Usually they discover they are barely breathing, if at all.
When we are born into this plane, the first thing they watch for after our emergence is if we can breathe on our own. The first and most important thing we do as a newborn is INHALE – we breathe in life on this planet. Our first action is to RECEIVE. If we’re in a hospital and we cannot breathe on our own, we’re put on machines that breathe for us until we’re able to breathe for ourselves. Breathing IS life.
Today, during my meditation, I noticed that I had wandered off in my mind. When I came back to the present moment, I noticed that I was “stuck” in the exhale. My abdomen was actually locked at the lowest point of an exhale and I realized I was having difficulty inhaling because I was so stuck in exhaling.
I smiled when I realized this because inhaling is the receiving, exhaling is the giving. As an “outtie” – one who spent much of her earlier years externally focused on others – I have spent a lot of my life in overextending my giving. I have gotten stuck outside of myself. I have given until there was nothing left to give and then I have given even more.
This is a common practice of Profoundly Sensitive People who have not been guided in how to embrace their Gifts and Abilities. Check in with yourself. How are YOU breathing? Because, the truth is, how you breathe IS how you do life.
Committed to reminding you of the Love Energy within you, focusing on that energy, and then magnifying it.
