For the second day in a row, my body woke up ready to play LOOOOOOOOONG before I actually “needed” to be awake so I followed the impulse to get dressed and go play. My daughter chose to join me and we drove a couple minutes to the nearby high school so we could run the track and bleachers. It was refreshing and rejuvenating. The best part about it is… I wanted to do it. It was the thing my body wanted… to move, to get my heart pumping, to get my lungs breathing to full capacity. It feels delicious to follow through with those impulses and fulfill my body’s yearning to M-O-V-E!
Today, I am appreciating… * that I AM able to follow my impulses and move my body * my body that continues to do what it was created to do, despite the fact that I haven’t been very kind to it over the last 20 or so years * prepaid Visa cards that work like credit cards but have no interest and provide secure online shopping because they’re not linked to any of my personal accounts * the beautiful rainbow spiral my daughter made many years ago that hangs at the kitchen window * the soundtrack from Wicked * my camera.
I am in love with my life and… that is really a joyful place to be!
