Agent Bellamy: “There was a boy. He was 9 years old. His name was David. He was our witness in a human trafficking case. The information he gave me was invaluable. We won the case. Bad guys got to him first. They killed him. The amazing thing, even after losing his son, the worst thing that could have ever happened to him, the dad found religion. He became a Believer. One day, I just had to ask him… ‘How? How do you go through something like that and come out with faith?'”
Maggie: “What did he say?”
Agent Bellamy: “He said, ‘In a man’s lowest place, there is no fear. Without fear, there are no limits. And that,’ he said, ‘was God.'”
We may be facing some of our nation’s darkest times. We may be at our lowest point, or getting very near to it. We may be surrounded by fear. But, we also may not be any of this. What we choose at this time, no matter what is going on, is how we create our future. If we choose to give into the fear-mongering, we lose sight of who we truly are. We are the Light. We are here to BE Light. We are here to transmute the Darkness to Light.
If we choose to feel fear without allowing it to limit us, we step into that place where faith moves us. And whether it is faith in a God or faith in the Giant Spaghetti Monster or faith in our own soul, having faith IS what moves mountains.
I do not pretend to know what is ahead. I have seen possible futures, but I know that every choice every one of us makes creates alternate futures.
So, for me, I choose to remember that even in fear, there can be Love, as long as I continue to hold that Light as truth.
