Two of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal is gratitude and appreciation. Gratitude is a state of being. Appreciation is the act of putting that gratitude into motion through the expression of it. There is an oft-repeated phrase, “What you focus on grows.” By bringing your attention to all you have been blessed with, you are directing your energy into a space of positivity, thereby magnifying your positive attitude. The surest way out of any negativity is to lean into the space of gratitude.
Committed to reminding you of the Love Energy within you, focusing on that energy, and then magnifying it.

You’re welcome, Mimi. 🙂
Beautiful photo. I never thought about a distinction between gratitude and appreciation, but the one you make is useful.
Thank you, Judy.
Very well sated–gratitude IS a state of mind. And we need to learn to live with and in it at all times.
Karo,
If we all learned to live with it and in it at all times, that would definitely create a miraculous shift!
I so love this post! It’s good to reflect on the difference between gratitude and appreciation so we can be more intentional. I’m trying to fill my mind and surroundings with more of both. Thanks for this lovely post.
Thank you, Susan. And… you’re welcome. 🙂
Love this and I am big on gratitude, nice to meet another artist too 🙂
Thank you, Suzie! 🙂
How lovely to see this and meet you on the internet. I use gratitude as the most important tool in my toolbag. The second for me is generosity. For me, gratitude counters deprivation and generosity heals entitlement. I have found that gratitude expressed (appreciation as you put it) cannot co-exist with feelings of deprivation. Just as I have found that generosity—doing something for someone else, asked or not—cannot occupy the same space as entitlement.
Glad to have been turned on to what you do by my friend Suzie Cheel.
Oh, Sue! I like the explanations about gratitude and generosity! Thank you for sharing. I’m happy to “meet” you.
I love this post! I agree that if we can shift our attitude to gratitude…the world opens up to an opportunity to have a positive outlook!
Thank you, Deanna. I have seen miracles happen through gratitude.
I, too, had not thought of that distinction between gratitude and appreciation, but it makes perfect sense. Commitment to being grateful and appreciating everything this world has to offer is a truly powerful thing. Thank for this lovely post – I appreciate it very much 🙂
You’re welcome, Imogen. Thank you for stopping by.
Gratitude is so pwoerful! It can completely shift an entire day around for me, love it and love this post 🙂
