Learning…

I’ve spent the day doing my homework for my HIST 1700 class. This means I’ve been immersed in the 1950’s and 1960’s. I’ve learned about the Hippies, The Digger Movement, Desegregation and I’m feeling so frustrated. Especially because, I am currently having my brain flooded with information about the Vietnam war. http://www.learner.org/vod/vod_window.html?pid=1401

The question that comes to my mind now is the same question that came to my mind while learning about this topic in high school. It’s the same question that came to my mind when Desert Storm started. The same question when our American troops were sent to Iraq: WHY?

I’ve yet to find a satisfactory answer for that question. I’m open to receiving your response on this topic.
