Curious things happen while I’m driving. 14 years ago, almost to this very day, The Phoenix offered me the privilege of becoming the steward of her energy. I was driving east along I-80 out by the Great Salt Lake, going about 80 miles an hour when her invitation opened up to me. I said yes to her, in typical “Angie fashion” – having no idea what saying yes to her actually meant. Her presence in my life has changed me.
Today, once again as I drove east along I-80, this time up near the Wasatch front, The Phoenix returned and reminded me that I am the only one of this kind. That thought used to be terrifying and lonely-making for me.
Suddenly, everything I’ve done for the last 14 years makes sense and who I am makes sense and now I get it. I don’t know why I get it now, but I do.
I AM The Phoenix. I AM the only one of this kind.
Today… today that reminder, that knowing is the truth I’ve been seeking for so long and I am at peace.
