There has been much talk about the percentage of communication that is actually attributed to speaking – (great article about it here) – and while there is some controversy about the numbers, I am certain we can all agree that communication is more than just talking. In relationship, you have the opportunity to truly listen to the other person. When you have grown to know, love, and understand another, you can begin to pick up on the myriad of unspoken things that are so much more telling than the words themselves. Through a commitment to Love, these silent storytellers can reveal the tenderness that another is wanting to hide, for fear that the tenderness will be violated. Choosing to act through Love holds that tenderness sacred.
