My daughter is silenced today for children who cannot speak for themselves. In her words, her pledge is:
today i am silent for the children around the world who dont have a voice and have their rights taken away daily. i am silent for the children who dont have clean water to drink or a warm bed to sleep in. I am silent for the children who are forced to work while underage to provide their family with enough income to get by. i am silent for the children who are forced into prostitution. i am silent for the children that have no way to get an education to better their lives. today, i am silent.
